Tagged...just a month ago!

Okay, I am just catching up on the blogs, so far this is a monthly thing but I did beat Grannie, Emilie and Britny to the tag, so I think I'm hanging in there. So here are the 2-7 things about me that you probably already know and may be relieved that I'll admit to!

1. Where do I start? With the obvious! I am technically challenged! I mean I don't get along well with technology. I barely blog, I'm the slowest text messenger in the family and we are still on dial-up. (Which I blame for this condition.) I am actually blogging on Keith's work laptop with a wireless connection. Our lawsuit is coming to and end, we have a verbal settlement agreement, woo-hoo! So when that's all done, I plan to go high-speed!

2. I am fashion-challenged! Keith admits to marrying me inspite of this fact. I have even called my sisters, out of state, described an outfit to them over the phone to get their opinion! I think I have gotten better, but I could probably have Tara come over to help me rid my closet of things should not wear!

3. That said, I love to dress-up! As a little girl, I had an image of myself as a mom with a professional job so I could wear dress suits and heals and carry a briefcase! I know this is a reason I like Mary Kay, it fits the image I had of myself.

4. I love to teach! I am a teacher in Relief Society right now and I love it! I love the preparation, the delivery, learning to rely on the spirit and asking questions and facilitating a discussion. It is my dream calling! I never thought I would get to do something like this! I think it is a blessing for doing roadshow last year!

5. I love watching chic-flicks by myself! Keith had youth conference this weekend so the kids and I hit Blockbuster! Audrey and Nick each picked a movie and I got "Made of Honor". I watched it by myself after the kids went to bed and I loved it! It would have been fun to have a friend over but who? Everyone has kids! Or lives too far away! Anyway, this is something that I have done since I was 18. It is also how I survived 4 months of separation from Keith last year! I caught up on a lot of movies Keith would rather not see. (He does enjoy the occasional one, like, One Fine Day, come on, Beauty and the Beast is one of his favorite Disney's along with Cinderella, but of course, The Incredibles is up there too!)

Okay, hungry, wet baby is calling! So I think I can tag or re-tag Grannie, Brit and Emilie...is that allowed?

Our New Bergen

Walter James was born on Wednesday, August 27th at 10:16pm. He weighed 7lbs 10oz, though Dad says he got jipped out of an ounce because of the way the scale was fluctuating, he was closer to 7lbs 11oz! He was 20.5 inches long. Labor was induced and everything went well. (We love epidurals!) I had the best delivery nurse. (Shout out to Darla!) She had me hold Walter and nurse him right away. She wiped him down quickly and handed him to me. It was wonderful! He nursed for about 40 minutes. It was awesome to hold him for so long! Then they took him, weighed him, gave him a bath and all that stuff. I highly recommend this to all new moms. It was the best delivery experience I have ever had! It is amazing how much they change in the first few moments of life. It was the best new mom bonding I have ever had!

Nearing the End of Pregnancy

Hello everyone! I know I need to get better at updates. No, no baby yet. I have had good contractions on a daily basis for the past 10 days, but as many of you know, that doesn't mean that much! I am just trying to keep myself busy so I don't dwell on it too much! I have driven my family crazy with a few of my projects. Beyond washing and organizing all of the baby boy clothes I have taken down the crib and assembled a toddler bed for Noah (thanks Terry for the bed, he's doing great with it)! I have cleaned all of the carpets (thanks Vaughn and Kindra for use of the machine)! We are currently shopping for a minivan. I know many of my Florida friends have told me for years how much I will love it. I will miss my sporty red Pontiac! Sigh! Mom-mobile here I come! And little does Keith know, I plan to clean off his dresser and night stand, since I have most of my clutter under control. His part of our bedroom is driving me nuts! I have a few other projects to distract me if I get desperate! My poor family!
Audrey and Nicholai have started school. They are doing great! Poor Noah! Everyday we put Nicho on the kindergarten bus he wants to go too! Last night, Noah talked to the baby. He talked to my belly saying "Hi baby! Hi baby!" It made me feel like he was starting to accept this new thing and be ready for a baby brother. We shall see!
Thanks for all of the baby name suggestions. Right now the top of our list for first name is Walter. This is Keith's middle name and the name of his maternal grandfather. We will probably shorten it to Walt, but we can't help but smile every time Noah says, "Wall-y."

July 31st, Noah Is Two!

It's hard to believe that this little guy is already two years old and about to be a big brother! We had fun celebrating his birthday with our family at Peter Piper Pizza. Noah loves the basketball game. Audrey and Nicholai played a great game of air hockey. (I can't remember who won!) On Sunday we had family over for cake and ice cream. We miss our Florida friends, but it's great to have family close, again!

Fourth of July Weekend

We enjoyed a week in Hurricane, UT (near St. George) with Keith's parents, Lynn and Larry. His sister, Lauri, and her family live in the area, too. We visited Zion's National Park while there. Keith loves to show how close he can get to the animals! We aslo went swimming at a splash park. Of course, we had a BBQ and watched great fireworks! We are thinking of making it our annual 4th of July tradition. It was great to spend time with Lynn and Larry, especially for the kids to get to know their Bergen Grandparents better. Keep Larry in your prayers! He just started treatment for prostate cancer.
